Ontario's Greenbelt & Sensible Development
A number of B Corps and other caring companies came together to voice their opposition to Bill 23 which proposed sweeping changes to the province’s natural heritage and land use planning legislation and policy. After pressure from stakeholders, Ontario Premier Doug Ford repealed Bill 23. The government has since said it is launching a review of the Greenbelt lands, but did not reverse its decision to remove 14 sites and open them up to housing development. Our work is not done! Let's keep public pressure ON as Ford backtracks; Greenbelt lands are NOT required to meet Ontario's need for AFFORDABLE housing.
B Corp Certification Ontario
At its heart, certifying as a B Corp is a stamp of approval that the people running a company are in business as a force for good.
B Corp Certification is the only certification that measures a company’s entire social and environmental performance. The B Impact Assessment evaluates how your company’s operations and business model impact your workers, community, environment, and customers.
