B Corps invited to Better Way Alliance Reception at Queen's Park

B Corps in Ontario are being invited to be a part of a delegation of BWA members on the afternoon of Tuesday May 16th, to meet with MPPs to discuss issues important to Better Way Businesses, which are in line with B Corp principles.
Here's what our day looks like:
MPP Meetings: 2:30 - 4:30pm
Queen's Park Reception: 4:45 - 6:00pm
Optional Debrief Drinks in Yorkville: 6:30pm

We'll be sharing stories of our businesses' successes, our challenges, and what we need from Ontario's politicians to strengthen our industries. Let's paint a picture of what a brighter, prosperous, and more equitable Ontario looks like. We have limited space available for MPP Meeting participation - so let us know ASAP if you can make it.
Reception at Queen's Park
If you can't make the afternoon Lobby Day event - join us for a reception at Queen's Park from 4:45 - 6:00pm on May 16th. This will be a great opportunity to network with (and influence!) MPPs and political staff in a more casual setting.
The vision for this portion of the day is to gather as many BWA business owners/leaders into the reception space, and for you to bring something with you to showcase your business.
If you are a brewery, bring a case of beer. If you are a clothing retailer, set up a display to highlight your brand. We want to create a strong visual and sensory experience to showcase the power-house leaders and craftspeople in our network.
If you'd like to join us for this portion of the day, please let us know by filling out our RSVP form. Feel free to include a line about what you might be able to contribute to the showcase 😉 If you can't bring anything to the reception, you are more than welcome to just bring yourself!
Ending the day with a social
To cap off our big day at Queen's Park, we invite you all to join us in Yorkville at 6:30pm (venue TBD).
Advocacy work, running a small business, fighting for a more just world - it's all very challenging work!
We hear from our members over and over again that what makes it all more sustainable and even joyous is knowing we are in these struggles and fights together.
Connecting in person to share our wins and bemoan our losses and just talk things over. We are very much looking forward to this portion of the day.
